Don’t get me wrong I looooove me some vintage and I especially love me some vintage jadeite. But I often get a little anxiety when I use my vintage jadeite in the kitchen. Behold the magic of reproduction jadeite! There are so many great options for reproduction jadeite that have that same minty green color and are super affordable. Notables like Martha Stewart, Ree Drummond from the Pioneer Woman and the fixer upper guru herself, Joanna Gaines have all dabbled in the jadeite reproduction field.
Pioneer Woman
Let’s start with The Pioneer Woman timeless jade collection. This collection is available at Walmart and I have to say it is truly beautiful. All of the patterns have a vintage flair to them and they each have a great shade of jadeite. I would say it is very comparable to Fireking jadeite. You can get a complete dinnerware serving set, found here, but my favorites are all of the other accents in the collection. This mixing bowl is one of my favorites to bake with! When you are done baking those cookies, this cookie jar is fantastic to display. Here are a few of my other favorites. Click the links to see or shop!
Mint Knife Block Set (I LOVE THIS!)
Butter dish, Creamer, Sugar set
Canister (We use ours for cinnamon sugar)
Mosser Glass
Next is Mosser Glass and these pieces are magnificent!
The Mosser catalog can be found here. Most of my Mosser glass I have bought through a Mosser glass dealer. They sometimes come out with fun jadeite pieces for different holidays and events. I love my jadeite trees, apples, and pumpkins. There are a few pieces that you can buy without the use of a dealer, which are all noted below!
Mixing Bowl Set – we use this everyday!
Cake Stands – These are so fun! There are two sizes:
Fireking 2000
Fireking 2000 was a group of jadeite created by Anchor Hocking. This collection can be easily distinguished because they are marked Fireking 2000. Newer pieces are made from new molds. In this set I have a few baking dishes like a casserole, pie plate, and square pan. Most of these I have picked up at thrift stores, but you can search and find them on the internet too! Since these are a little newer than most of my Fireking jadeite, I don’t feel as guilty using them in the kitchen!
Hearth & Hand with Magnolia
There have been many adorable jadeite pieces that have come out of the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia collections. I have a few cake plates, footed bowls, cupcake stands, and my all time favorite – a spoon rest! All of these pieces are not available for purchase, BUT you can find them second-hand or on eBay. Joanna does incorporate these pieces back into her collections periodically, so be on the lookout!
