Each and every year I make a flag cake for the Fourth of July. Ina's recipe here is my all time favorite, but this year I wanted to switch it up and try to create a savory flag. When you think of a ruler, you might think that their sole purpose is only to measure things. When I stumbled upon a collection of foldable vintage rulers at a garage sale, a million ideas sprung up on how I could use these for decor!
