I am so ecstatic to be sharing the first bathroom of the Victorian on Van Buren renovations. Bathrooms were the one area in our farmhouse that we have not yet tackled, so to renovate these historic spaces in the Victorian on Van Buren was such an exhilarating project. The main bathroom was original to the home in 1895 (when the second story was added). It had marvelous bead board surrounding the entire space and an epic claw foot tub. The footprint of this bathroom stayed very close to what it originally was in 1895. I'm not sure what it is about demo day that is so exciting? Is it the act of demolishing things or the fact that you are left with a beautiful clean slate at the end? Nonetheless demo day at the Victorian on Van Buren was exciting, history was to be found in every corner we demoed!
