Each and every year I make a flag cake for the Fourth of July. Ina’s recipe here is my all time favorite, but this year I wanted to switch it up and try to create a savory flag. So I have combined my all time favorite pot-luck recipe with an American Flag, hail the American Flag veggie pizza!
This recipe is so easy, with a few shortcuts! We use refrigerated crescent dough to speed up the recipe, but if you are feeling fancy you can make your own dough, which is soooo delicious. Crisp peppers and delectable cherry tomatoes represent the stripes and black olives take on the role of the stars.
