Vintage lamps are always so unique and quirky. They have been on the top of my thrifting list lately because of all the fun up-cycles you can create with them. Today I am going to share two easy up-cycles for a pair of milk glass thrifted lamps I found recently. These lamps would be entirely perfect on their own as lamps, but if you aren't in the market for lamps, they can make the perfect cloche base or even pair of candle holders. This DIY was so very simple, anyone can do it! Supplies vintage lamp(s) nut & bolt cloche candles hot glue (optional) Directions Unscrew the mechanical parts of the lamp. Most lamps unscrew in many different pieces. You can ...
Three Simple Winter Decor Ideas
Winter can sometimes be that awkward season after the high of the holidays. Often times I think many take down their Christmas decor and are left with a bare naked feeling. Winter decor to the rescue and it does not have to be complicated! Here are three simple ways to incorporate winter touches throughout your home during these snowy, spectacular months. 1. Add ice skates to a wreath Ice skates are such a universal winter decor staple. They are so easy to find and relatively inexpensive. I find many of mine out at garage sales for a few bucks a pair. For this simple idea, I used string to tie a pair of antique ice skates to a wintry wreath. Ice skates are wonderful for holiday ...
Target Valentine’s Day Finds

It is the perfect blend of winter cozy and Valentine's Day. 2. I am styling a fun Valentine's Day bar cart this year and this pom-pom garland will be just what it needs to sparkle. Three Things Thursday
My first favorite thing from this week is this awesome Ruggable rug that we just put in the living room. It is the softest rug we have ever had and even better, it's washable. I can sleep easy knowing that those toddler stains are just a thing of the past. I chose this color because I wanted something really moody for Fall and Halloween and these colors lend the perfect neutral tone! It's called the Verena Dark Wood rug and you will be seeing lots of her this fall in our great room. Click here to purchase one for yourself! I am a Pioneer Woman junkie, so I was so excited to see that she has a new cookbook coming out this Fall! It's titled The Pioneer Woman Cooks - Super Easy and you ...

The Vintage Hunt – January Edition
I met a follower this Fall that literally said to me, "I'm hunting here at this flea market asking myself what would Courtney buy!" So I thought it would be fun to put together a list each month of items that you may want to add to your hunt list as you venture out to garage sales, flea markets, estate sales, and antique shops. This month's list centers around winter decor - winter greens, bright whites, and cozy textures. After the holidays it can be a little disheartening to put away all the Christmas charm, so these pieces are critical to keeping our spirits bright in January. 1. Sleds I'm starting with my favorite of the entire list! I love to pick up vintage sleds ...
