I can’t believe another week has flown by! It seems as this entire summer is just flashing before my eyes! It probably doesn’t help that I am planning for Fall and Christmas at the moment. Magazines and books are my favorite sources of inspiration for the holidays. I love looking at a photo and then pulling new concepts into the design elements to create something new. My favorite source currently leads me to my #1 this week!
1. Country Living Christmas Books – Country Living magazine has a great suite of books all centered on Christmas. I love flipping through the pages to get inspo for the upcoming holiday season. Most of the books even have some tasty recipes too. These are my favorites currently Christmas at Home, The Farm Chicks Christmas, and Christmas Joys. And these are the books I have coming my way too, Merry & Bright, Country Living Salvage Style – I can’t wait to dive into them!
2. THE OLYMPICS – I can not tell you how much I adore watching the Olympics. It doesn’t matter which sport or event, I love every minute of it. One of our favorite treats during the Olympics are these fun bagel pizzas. They are so easy to make, just make a regular old bagel pizza and then add your color for the Olympic rings! We used purple potatoes for blue, black olives for black, cherry tomatoes for red, yellow peppers for yellow, and basil for green!
3. I got the most adorable vintage green dollhouse furniture from my friend Sarah @sweetcards817 on Instagram – she has the most wonderful Etsy shop that you can shop here to see all of her amazing vintage goodies. All of the proceeds from her shop go towards their adoption process. I have the sweetest dollhouse that we use to decorate at Christmastime and this furniture is going to look spectacular inside. I also have a long lost Victorian dollhouse project that is waiting to be built, so maybe this will be the ticket to get me in gear!
