It’s officially the first day of Fall and we are celebrating with a fun, family supper. The air is finally cool and crisp in North Dakota and we are going to enjoy a hot supper with pork roast, garden potatoes and the cutest pumpkin spice rolls (blog post for those coming soon)! So let’s set the scene for this Fall tablescape. I have two new ideas to incorporate into your tablescape to add a little shimmer and fun.
This tablescape was inspired by these vintage Libby Gold Leaf Glasses. They came in a set of 8 and even have their own carryall holder. I also wanted to incorporate warm wood tones and my Fireking peach lustre dishware.
Use a Cake Liners to Accent Your Place Setting
At a garage sale this summer I picked up a large lot of gold cake foil lace liners, not knowing what I would do with them in the end. I used them at each place setting directly underneath my bread/salad plate. They add the perfect shimmer to the table and coordinate well with the gold leaf glasses. They also lend an adorable scallop pattern to the edge of the dishware. If you would choose a smaller plate, the lace detail would also peek through too! These would be so festive for a children’s table setting to use as place mats as well.
Add a Bingo Board
Is there really anyone out there that dislikes Bingo? It is such a timeless game and here it serves as a unique place marker for guests, but also a fun way to start your supper. I used small gold pumpkins to accentuate the free space and then we will use pennies to play the game. Someday I hope to find a vintage set of Bingo balls to play the game, but for now we will use an online bingo caller.
To finish off the table I used a matte gold flatware and my favorite maple stems in a harvest basket. I threw in a few wonderful fall candles from Kanda Candles to give off that dreamy glow. I sourced a few of the items that I used in the tablescape noted below, if you would like to use them too! Happy Fall y’all!
