Last year I fell in love with a vintage Easter wreath that was chalk full of adorable vintage Easter trinkets. The colors were so vibrant and it was such a charming arrangement of sweet little Easter baubles. I made it my mission to start hunting for these small Easter collectibles to create my own wreath and the process was very simple.
Vintage Easter items can be slightly more difficult to find and on the more expensive side, so I did incorporate some vintage reproduction pieces into the wreath. Overall I love the arrangement and all the cheerful colors, it just screams SPRING!
Supplies
- Foam Wreath Form
- Iridescent Tinsel Garland (I used this garland)
- Vintage Style Easter Eggs (here are a few styles – Style 1, Style 2, Style 3)
- Vintage Easter picks or reproduction Easter trinkets (Style 1, Style 2,)
- Hot Glue Gun
Directions
- Using hot glue, secure one end of your garland and begin wrapping the garland around the wreath form. Completely cover the foam wreath form. I will add a dot of glue every few inches to secure it in place.
- Use hot glue to glue your lightweight Easter eggs in a single row around the wreath form.
- Use hot glue to fill in sparse areas with vintage tin Easter eggs or Easter trinkets.
- Hang your wreath to enjoy!
I used a combination of lightweight reproduction Easter eggs and vintage tin Easter eggs for the base of the wreath. My favorite part was adding in all the Easter trinkets. I think my wreath has additional space, so I may continue to add in more Easter finds when they hop over to my house.
