Target Winter Finds 2023

It is so bizarre to be typing 2023 already, but it's that time of year to charge forward into the new year. There is something so rewarding about bringing out all the stops for holiday decorating, but then starting fresh in the new year. This year for my winter decor I will be incorporating more wood tones, brass, shades of deep green and blue. I love to add a few new pieces as a base to start the season. In doing this it offers a clean slate to incorporate and mix-in vintage elements and it really helps those classic pieces shine. I absolutely love the mix of brass and warm wood tones for winter. I think the shimmer adds such a beautiful, cozy glow. I have been seeing lots of the ...

Christmas Home Tour 2022

I feel like I am living in my own real life Groundhog Day movie feature. This is the third time we have been snowed in this Fall and we have had to cancel lots of plans. I hope sharing my Christmas spaces brings you joy as the country embarks on this nasty snow storm and cold temperatures in the next few days. Christmas Family Room The real centerpiece of the family room this year is the Santa wall. I rounded up all of my vintage Santas and put them along one wall in our family room. I used various cubbies and crocks to showcase them all in a whimsical way! Can you really have too many Santas?  The vintage ones are just so charming! I wanted to keep the fireplace more simple this ...

Plaid on Plaid on Plaid Christmas Bedroom

For some reason I always envision that my Christmas bedroom needs to mimic Kevin McCallister's parents bedroom. I love the deep red and green tones, the plaid and the stunning wallpaper. This year, I believe our bedroom gives that same cozy feeling, with more a more modern feel. Don't worry, there are lots of vintage elements sprinkled throughout too. Plaid This bedspread was a huge inspiration for this bedroom, it had all of the perfect colors for my room. It included the deep greens and the soft blues that coordinate with our Sea Salt (SW) walls. The bedspread also has a soft, cozy furry side too, which will be perfect all winter long. A winter bedroom is not complete until you have ...

Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.” Click any of the photos below to shop some of the ...

Harry Potter Whimsical Bedroom

My oldest daughter is very into Harry Potter everything right now and she has been begging me for a bedroom makeover. I was a little on the fence, but then I starting looking around and I realized I had a lot of great vintage decor items that would work seamlessly for this makeover. I think Harry Potter lends itself nicely to spooky season but then it carries over naturally to Christmas in a unique way, so I talked myself into creating this Harry Potter whimsical bedroom.
