Tonight’s windchill is -38, you read that right. Sometimes I feel like we live in an unique version of Mars on Earth here in North Dakota. Having a cozy bedroom to snuggle up on these blistery, cold nights is necessary! This year I have three go-to tips for a quaint, winter bedroom that will give you all the cozy feels.
Flannel
Nothing is more nostalgic for me than soft flannel sheets in the winter. My mom used to switch out our sheets as soon as the first snow fall hit the ground and it was the best way to keep your bed extra warm on those winter nights. I keep the tradition alive for my entire family and I often switch out patterns each year. This year I did this fun candy stripe flannel that was perfect for Christmas, so darling for my snowman winter vibe AND it will carry right into Valentine’s Day flawlessly.
Candles
Can you really every surpass the exceptional glow of a candle? Pair that with a charming wintry scent and it is pure magic! This season I have been loving the sweet scents by Kanda Candles. My favorite is white snow, with its sweet notes of pine, birch and cedar, it’s perfection. (Tap here to see all of their fabulous scents!) I also have a fun mix of faux candles that I use a remote to light them up, these are my favorite.
Fur
Fur is fun and I am obsessed with it this season especially. I have a fun mix of faux and real fur in our home, but most of mine for home decor is all faux. Let me tell you, the new faux fur options are remarkable, so soft and so COZY. I love using faux fur pillows or fur throws. These large fur blankets have been a family favorite this year too! The textures paired with warm cable knit or a soft knitted blanket is so stylish for winter.
